Poker Party is a play-money game

It is a private, invite-only tool for running a friends’ poker tournament for fun. There is no public sign-up — you get in with an invite code from whoever is hosting.

Nothing in Poker Party is money and nothing in it has cash value. Chips are the stack in front of you at the table. Points are how the tournament keeps score — the buy-in, rebuys, add-ons, bounties and prizes are all counted in points, and points cannot be bought, sold, cashed out, transferred between games, or redeemed for anything.

No purchase is necessary and no purchase is possible. Poker Party does not process, hold, escrow or transfer funds, has no payment processing of any kind, and stores no payment details or payment handles.

Real-money play is not allowed here

Using Poker Party in connection with real-money wagering is prohibited. That includes running a game where the points stand in for money, arranging stakes or settlements through the app, or using it to keep the books for a game played for cash.

This is a rule we enforce, not a formality. If we learn that a host is using Poker Party for real-money play, their access is removed.

Your responsibility

  • You must be 18 or older, and older still where your local law requires it.
  • Gambling laws differ by state and by country. You are responsible for making sure the way you use this app is legal where you are.
  • Hosts run their own games. Poker Party does not set stakes, does not decide who plays, and collects nothing from anyone.
  • Don’t use Poker Party for anything illegal where you are.

What’s stored

  • Who your sign-in provider says you are: your Google or Discord account identity, and your email address.
  • What you type in: display name and an optional table nickname.
  • What happens in your games: hands, chip stacks, results, and each tournament’s points ledger.

That’s all of it. No payment information is collected, because none is used. Nothing is sold and nothing is shared outside the games you’re in.

Results are kept per tournament. Poker Party does not maintain a running profit-and-loss figure for anyone across games.

Want your account and its data removed? Ask your host and they’ll get it deleted.

No warranty

Poker Party is a hobby project, provided as-is, with no warranty of any kind. It can break, drop a hand, or go offline mid-game. To the fullest extent the law allows, nobody involved in building it is liable for any loss arising from using it. What happens at the table is settled at the table.
